Step back in time: Dinosaur Valley returns to Scenic World

Get ready for a prehistoric adventure in the Blue Mountains, with Dinosaur Valley returning to Scenic World from 26 September 2026.

Set among the ancient rainforest of Scenic World, Dinosaur Valley invites families to travel back millions of years and discover more than 60 dinosaurs across 32 species – including seven species making their Dinosaur Valley debut this season.

From Australia and Antarctica to Europe, Africa and the Americas, this year's experience takes visitors on a journey around the world to discover some of the incredible creatures that once roamed the planet.

Meet some prehistoric newcomers

There are plenty of familiar favourites to find, including T-Rex, Brachiosaurus and Stegosaurus, alongside some exciting new arrivals.

Keep an eye out for Cryolophosaurus, the largest apex predator discovered in Antarctica, Kakuru, one of Australia's intriguing dinosaur discoveries, the feathered Archaeopteryx and the predatory Deinonychus.

Dinosaur Valley is spread throughout Scenic World's rainforest and around the main building, creating plenty of opportunities to get up close to these prehistoric giants as you explore.

A prehistoric adventure for little explorers

Young dinosaur fans can pick up their very own Dinosaur Valley Passport and follow the trail as they discover which dinosaurs once ruled different parts of the prehistoric world – with the chance to become a Junior Ranger along the way.

Fan favourite Andy Day is also back, with exclusive audio and video content created especially for Dinosaur Valley at Scenic World.

And for those who want to get even closer to the action, Dinosaur Rangers and baby dinosaur encounters are returning for another season.

Best of all, Dinosaur Valley is included with a Scenic World Day Pass, so families can combine their prehistoric adventure with unlimited rides on the iconic Scenic Railway, Skyway and Cableway, as well as exploring the rainforest boardwalks.
