Blue Mountains Tourism

Blue Mountains Tourism (BMT) is the official local tourism organisation for the Blue Mountains region of NSW Australia.

Recognised by Destination NSW and Blue Mountains City Council as such, BMT works co-operatively with the council to:

  • support and advocate for tourism businesses in the region
  • promote a sustainable tourism industry nationally and globally
  • attract visitors to the region
  • guide visitors to tourism businesses when they are here

Tourism-focused, industry led and membership-based, the organisation is has one employee, the general manager, who works under the direction of a committee of industry professionals who donate their time, expertise and resources to the benefit of the wider tourism industry.

Blue Mountains Tourism Committee

The Blue Mountains Tourism volunteer committee includes representatives from a broad range of tourism sectors including: attractions, transport, luxury hotels, restaurants, guest houses, tourism services, NSW National Parks and Wildlife, and the Blue Mountains World Heritage Institute. The committee meets monthly and is voted on at the annual AGM.
