Bilpin Cider: Spring Into Sunshine on the Mountain

The Deck at Bilpin Cider

As the orchards around Bilpin burst into blossom, there's no better time to make the drive up the mountain to Bilpin Cider. Spring transforms this beloved cidery into its prettiest self, with the scenic route past blooming trees and green paddocks setting the tone for a slower, sun-soaked visit. This is a place shaped by its surroundings, where the land, the produce and the people make for a welcome that's as warm as the season.

Koala on sign

Bring the whole family, four-legged members included. Bilpin Cider is proudly dog friendly, so your best mate can join you for a lazy afternoon under the fig tree or in the undercover dining area.

The range keeps growing without losing sight of its roots. Alongside the classics, drinkers can explore an extensive line-up of award-winning ciders, craft beer, ginger beer and non-alcoholic options, meaning there's something for everyone in the group, designated driver included. That quality was recognised in a big way at the 2025 Australian Cider Awards, where Bilpin Blush took out Best Single Varietal Cider, backed by a gold medal for Bilpin Original and further medals across the range.

Hungry? The Farm Kitchen and Farm Kiosk serve up an excellent food offering, think juicy Wagyu and pulled pork burgers, fish tacos and, of course, one of the best apple pies on the mountain The veggie patch is bursting back into life this time of year, with fresh spring produce finding its way onto plates alongside charcuterie, apple pie and great coffee.

The farm animals, from head rooster The Colonel to miniature donkeys Teddy and Bruno, are always ready to steal the show while Princess, Hazlett and Berry, the gentle and intelligent Alpacas are crowd pleasers.

Spring weekends fill up fast, so Bilpin Cider now offers online booking, making it easy to lock in your table before you make the trip. Best of all, the cidery is open every day of the year except Christmas Day, so there's always a good reason to head up the mountain.

Whether you're after a long, lazy lunch in the sun, a cider tasting with friends, or a relaxed spring outing with the dog in tow, Bilpin Cider remains what it has always been: a place that feels like home.
