Perched between the headwaters of the Grose and Jamison Valleys, Silvermere is a heritage-listed house constructed in 1923 as a cool climate retreat. The BJ Waterhouse-designed Mediterranean-style mansion features four individual suites, all with private facilities, central heating and views of the established gardens; while the lounge features an open fireplace.
Description
Silvermere is located in Wentworth Falls. The guesthouse is a large State Heritage listed Mediterranean style villa built in 1923 set amongst 6000sqm of cool climate garden with spectacular views to the world heritage Blue Mountains National Park.
Fully serviced, Bed and Breakfast style accommodation is available in the Guest House and Chauffeur's cottage for singles, couples and groups up to 10 persons. Included in the price in the guesthouse rooms is a full country breakfast. The Chauffeur's Cottage is self-contained. Self contained accommodation for up to six adults is located at the Dairy- a typical mountain cottage in Wentworth falls a short stroll to walking trails such as the National Pass.
Choose from one of the four rooms in the guesthouse. Each room is named after one of the mountains that can be seen from Silvermere's front terrace. All rooms are individually decorated with hand made quilts, original art work and mixture of antique and modern furnishings. They are centrally heated, with tea and coffee making facilities, television with movie channels and in-house phones. Walking distance to restaurants in Wentworth Falls village.

Directions
By Car From Sydney -
1. Join the M4 from Sydney(directions to Parramatta, Penrith or Blue Mountains). This joins the Great Western Highway after Penrith. Make a right hand turn off the Great Western Hwy at the sign directing to 'Wentworth Falls shops' about 8 km before Katoomba. Follow this road (Station Street) over the railway crossing (where this road becomes Blaxland Rd). Lake st is second on the left after the railway crossing.
2. On the Great Western Highway (going towards Katoomba) turn right at Wentworth Falls Shops (opposite Grandview Hotel which is on the left-hand side).
3. Continue through the shops and across the bridge over the railway line.
4. Lake Street is the second street on the left-hand side after the bridge.
5. The entrance is clearly signposted about 40 metres up the hill on the right hand side.
6. The Chauffeur's cottage is on your right as you drive in the gate.
7. For the main house drive up to the turning circle at the top of the drive and park; walk up the steps to the front door.
By Train - Pick-up is available if phoned through in advance. Alternatively their are taxis outside the station, or it is a 10 minute walk from the station.
Cancellation Policy
For single bookings (except where part of a group booking where all 4 rooms are taken) the full accommodation fee is payable for cancellations within 7 days of the booking. For group bookings the full accommodation fee is due and payable within 3 weeks of the booking. Further where single rooms within the group booking are cancelled that room must be paid in full unless the whole group booking is cancelled. All bookings with be charged a $50 administration fee per room for cancellations up to 21 days before the first day of the booked accommodation. For single room bookings (not group bookings) cancellations from 21 to 7 days before the 25% deposit is forfeited.
