Hartley Accommodation

Overview

Description

Enjoy a full-immersion heritage experience with a stay in Old Trahlee, a charmingly restored colonial cottage at Hartley Historic Site.

Located an easy two-hour drive from Sydney on the western slopes of the Blue Mountains, the cottage sleeps up to six people and includes bunk beds and an infant’s cot to accommodate the whole family. It also features an entry ramp and a double bed and bathroom with disabled access. It’s an ideal base to explore the stories etched into Hartley’s buildings and observe the native wildlife at dawn and dusk. Discover convict graffiti on the walls of the Hartley Courthouse gaol cells with a complimentary self-guided tour, climb up to Kew-Y-Ahn Tor or take a shady stroll down to the river and try to spot a platypus.

Browse the ever-changing exhibition of Aboriginal artworks at the Kew-Y-Ahn Gallery, and drop in to watch metal art being forged on site at the Talisman Gallery.
