A trail running race at Hassans Walls Reserve was on the minds of runners for years as they explored the ridges on Hassans Walls above Lithgow.

Blue Mountains Fitness proudly got the first trail run race on Hassans Walls in 2022 with 208 runners. The numbers continue to grow - 2023 - 325 runners, 2024 - 340 runners despite the severe rain incident that affected travelling to the event, 2025 - 468 participants and 2026 - 716 registrations.

In 2027 we are ready to create a massive weekend of trail running fun exploring the awesome attractions of the Seven Valleys local area.

The event has multiple distance options to choose from - 5km, 10km, 22km, 33km, Marathon, 50km and if approvals go our way we'll have a 70-100km race distance . There will also be the fun Under 12's 1.6km Kids. The 50km takes on the thirteen ridges of Hassans Walls with varying elevation gain/loss, accumulating over 2500 metres on dirt roads, 4WD trails, walking trails and mountain bike single tracks. The longer distance race will enter the Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area and visit world class locations such as Lost City.

Camping on site, food and beverages, live band entertainment, Zig Zag Brewery pop up bar, Outdoor Sports Retail Expo and the awesome locations of Hassans Walls and the Seven Valleys awaits!
