A wonderful opportunity to experience the Southern Sky and its celestial wonders only visible from the Southern Hemisphere. Dimitri, the guide (10 years' experience including Sydney Observatory, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley and Mt John Observatory at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand) will delve into the study of each celestial object. You will observe through the professional-grade telescope objects such as (depending on the time of year and night): - The Moon - Saturn & Jupiter - Mars & Venus - The Orion Nebula - Star clusters - Double & triple stars - Deep space objects such as galaxies and our Milky Way - Shooting stars if you are lucky! Meeting point: Wentworth Falls Picnic area, a short drive from Katoomba, at the Wentworth Falls lookout, wheelchair accessible, short walk from the carpark, toilets and a fabulous 180 degrees sunset vista with sound of the waterfalls.From $65 per person.
