Where culture meets the escarpment

Description

In the heart of Katoomba, perched high above the Jamison Valley, you’ll find the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre — a creative hub where art, ideas and nature come together.

Inside, explore the acclaimed Blue Mountains City Art Gallery, the vibrant Katoomba Library, and Into the Blue — an interactive World Heritage exhibition that dives deep into the region’s natural wonders, culture, and stories.

Wander through thoughtfully curated exhibitions that showcase local, national and international artists, or check out our lively calendar of events, workshops, artisan markets, movie nights, and family-friendly art classes.

Whether you’re after a quiet moment with a book, a thought-provoking exhibition, or simply a great coffee with a view, the Cultural Centre has something for everyone.

The on-site shop features a curated collection of books, gifts and art from local makers. Our café is the perfect spot to unwind with sweeping views of the escarpment.

Entry to the Centre, shop, library and café is free. A small admission fee applies to the Art Gallery and Into the Blue exhibition:

Adults: $5 Concession: $3 Children under 18: Free

Come for the view — stay for the culture.
