A beautiful spot to wander and experience the best of the Blue Mountains’ seasonal wonders.

Description

Drawing form the great traditions of European landscape design, Everglades gardens were constructed in the 1930s by Danish-born landscape gardener Paul Sorensen, and are today considered one of Australia’s most spectacular inter-war period gardens receiving acclaim from garden-lovers worldwide. A stroll along formal European-style terraces and winding paths reveals many moods of Everglades, from the tranquil Reflection Pool amongst towering trees, to the subtle charms of the lookout and contemplative Grotto Pool. You will also enjoy the surprise unveiling of vistas through to Mount Solitary and the Jamison Valley. After visiting the garden, linger in the Everglades tea rooms in the 1930s house and courtyard, specialising in old-fashioned fare. Sit under the silver birch with the fountain burbling, cosy up beside the open fire in the living room or feast your eyes on the vast Jamison Valley from the breakfast room.
