Details

Based around a rare 1914 roundhouse, the Museum boasts many activities and exhibits to entertain and educate all ages. An operating Locomotive Depot for 75 years, it now hosts regular Open Days throughout the year.

Join the 19th-century Steam Tram OR cowboy carriage, hauled by Stephenson Tank Engine No2 (or vintage diesel locomotive X206) for a unique 20-minute return trip: a real 'Time Machine'.**

Enjoy operating model rooms and explore beautifully restored locomotives and carriages from past eras. New interpretive panels tell the rich story of development in western NSW, revealing the railway's contribution to everyday life.

Easy-to-read signage helps explain key exhibits to children, who can also take the Kid's Quiz, check their answers online, then print a personalised certificate at home!

The WWI Honour Board commemorates local railwaymen who enlisted for the armed services. Read the stories behind these young men's lives. Discover the unfortunate tale of Dutchman Hendrikus Tripp, fuel man at The Depot.

The air-conditioned shop/café has railway-style tucker and barista coffee.

Entry prices include Museum entry and rides.

**Subject to change or cancellation due to operating conditions.
