Spring has sprung! And October in the Blue Mountains is a time when we're welcomed by an array of beautiful flowers blossoming including white and pink sakura flowers.

To celebrate this natural beauty is this jelly flower art class where jelly flowers are artistically made by injecting a colourful base into clear gelatin forming petals, leaves and other shapes.

All colours are plant-based and made from natural vegetable and fruit colourings. Ingredients include agar agar (a sea vegetable that works like gelatin), coconut milk and sugar. If you have diabetes, please inform the instructor in advance and a sugar alternative will be replaced.

Flowers are usually drawn using a simple syringe with a needle and specialised jelly art tools which can be purchased from the instructor if you wish to purchase a set to continue creating at home.

At the end of this Spring-inspired class, you will take home your very own jelly art creation! If you're looking for things to do in the Blue Mountains in Spring, this class is the perfect celebration of this transitional season.
