Professor Rachael Gallagher, a passionate plant ecologist and conservation scientist, will discuss the state of our threatened species in the Blue Mountains with a focus on bushfire recovery, and the essential role that plants must play in shaping our community, and in global efforts to combat climate change.
The Lyrebird Festival returns in 2025, celebrating the spectacular Megalong Valley with music, art, food & wine, talks & nature walks. Founded and directed by the Bowerbird Collective, and supported by Lot 101, this event brings together some of Australia's finest musicians for a series of spellbinding concerts.
The Lyrebird Festival brings together art, science and conservation, and includes local culinary delights, intimate, world-class performances and an installation titled "Sonic Blossoms" by internationally renowned artist Jane Sheldon.
All events have been scheduled to allow for plenty of time moving between each location. All concerts and other events can be booked separately, or together with a Festival Pass. Pricing includes a 'Pay what you can' option. All concert tickets include a single beverage and nibbles.
The Megalong Valley is one of NSW"s special secret places - only 2 hours from Sydney, containing pristine forest, spectacular scenery, restaurants and wineries, walks and wildlife. Transport from Blackheath Train Station can be arranged on request.
