An icon of the Blue Mountains the Carrington Hotel was a popular mountain retreat during the late 1800s and 1900s.

Formerly named the Great Welters the hotel was renamed the Carrington in 1886, reflecting the then Governor of NSWm Lord Carrington. The hotel has some beautiful architectural features of the Art Deco era including stained glass windows and a magnificent Grand Dining Room.
