For over thirty years, Geoff White has quietly shaped one of the Blue Mountains’ most enduring creative spaces. What began as a shared dream with his brothers has evolved into Lost Bear Gallery, a pillar of Katoomba’s cultural life and a must-visit for art lovers.

Housed within a graceful Federation home on Lurline Street, the gallery offers more than exhibitions; it’s an experience of inspiration and calm. Each room encourages pause and contemplation, where light drifts across canvases and sculptures that echo the textures, moods, and shifting beauty of the Blue Mountains landscape.

Recently, the gallery hosted a highly successful exhibition by celebrated landscape artist Warwick Fuller, whose deep connection to the Blue Mountains continues to captivate visitors. His large-scale Bluer Plateau is an iconic piece that is permanently on display, allowing visitors to encounter the scale and spirit of Fuller’s vision year-round.

Showcasing the work of established and emerging local artists, Lost Bear celebrates the region’s creative identity. It’s free to visit, open daily, and is an inviting space to connect with the mountains on a creative level.
