Katie Noonan’s latest show ‘Late Night Tunes with Noons’ came about quite by accident, in the later hours one night in winter.
Katie posted a short video on instagram of her learning a Hunters and Collectors classic for an upcoming event.
After the response to that first post, the idea evolved into a regular late night video session where Katie interprets some of her favourite Aussie songs from across multiple decades in her intimate and dynamic style.
Featuring songs by artists such as Crowded House, Archie Roach, You Am I, Powderfinger, Cold Chisel and more this event will showcase Katie’s unparalleled skills of re interpretation, as well as some of her own classic tunes in an intimate solo setting.

Phoenix Choir Blue Mountains present two of Vivaldi’s best known choral works in a concert celebrating the great master composer of the Italian baroque.

Musical director Rowen Fox conducts the choir and a professional string ensemble led by the accomplished Kanimbla Quartet. These works combine dramatic choral fanfares with intricate solo movements, including duets for two soprano soloists and guest oboe soloist.

Vivaldi’s Gloria is one of the most popular works in the choral repertoire, in which joyous choruses such as the opening Gloria and the uplifting Domine Fili unigenite contrast with the pained chromaticism of Et in terra pax hominibus, and the beautiful soprano solo with oboe obbligato, Domine Deus, Rex coelestis. This work pairs wonderfully with the finely wrought Magnificat to give a feast of Vivaldi’s choral music in a program which will also include other Italian works of the period sung a capella by the Phoenix Chamber Choir.
