Home to world renowned tourist attractions such as the Three Sisters at Echo Point and Skyways & The Scenic Railway, Katoomba is a central destination for many lookouts and well graded bushwalking paths.

Katoomba offers a variety of shopping including speciality foods, homewares, clothing, outdoor gear as well as range of adventure tour operators for hiking, climbing and other outdoor activities.  There are many art galleries, with the regional Blue Mountains Cultural Centre offering permanent and visiting exhibitions.  The Katoomba Heritage Art Walk – brochures available throughout the town shops or from our website.

Dining options offer takeaway or cheap and cheerful BYO to fine dining and ‘hatted’ restaurants.   A strong coffee culture means there are lots of good quality cafes, and there is a variety of pubs and cocktail bars – each with it’s own character and speciality drinks or food.

There is an eclectic live music scene and live theatre at a number of pubs and cafes in addition to the United Cinema, known as The Edge.

Come up for Air to the Blue Mountains and cosy up in winter or cool down in summer.
