Membership of Blue Mountains Tourism Ltd is a fantastic way to promote your business both indirectly, through supporting the promotion of visitation to the entire region, and also directly through specific opportunities to promote your business.
As a member of Blue Mountains Tourism Ltd you will receive a range of inclusive benefits, which promote your product to consumers and the travel industry. By joining BMTL initiatives members are able to leverage their marketing funds and often get far greater exposure than they would advertising alone.

Consumer Promotion
- Destination marketing
- The benefits of BMTL's extensive destination marketing campaigns which increase visitation to the entire region.
- Brochure distribution
- The display of one brochure free at the Glenbrook, Echo Point, Lithgow and Oberon Visitor Information Centres. Brochures are mailed out from our Booking Centre to all relevant enquiries. Members can also pay to distribute additional brochures through the Visitor Information Centres at Glenbrook and Echo Point.*
- Internet promotion
- Product profile of relevant tourism product on www.visitbluemountains.com.au including information on facilities, experiences, activities, proximities & tariffs.
- Referrals of enquiries
- Business referrals through our Call Centre, Visitor Information Centres and website.
- Accommodation booking service
- Booking Service through the Blue Mountains Tourism Booking Centre via our toll free 1300 number and at Echo Point and Glenbrook Visitor Information Centres.#
- Calender of eEvents
- A regional calender of events is developed for distribution to media, the travel trade, consumer enquiries and local tourism publications.
Marketing Advice and Assistance
- Regular industry updates
- The 'Hot News' email newsletter is sent out regularly and contains a range of marketing opportunities and industry research. A 'member only' website allows members to source the latest market intelligence, and download information at any time.
- Professional development and training
- BMTL, with partners such as Tourism NSW and Biznet, regularly coordinate professional development seminars and training workshops to assist business development (Discounted cost).
- Access to Blue Mountains Tourism Image Library
- Available for brochure production. Costs may be incurred depending on usage.
- Advice and referrals
- BMTL staff are available to advise on marketing questions, distribution and product related inquiries, and provide details on key industry contacts.
- Industry Voice
- Industry Represented Board - BMTL is an industry driven organisation, managed by a Board of Directors, which is made up of elected representatives from each tourism industry sector, and nominated representatives from Tourism NSW, National Parks and Wildlife Service and regional councils. Sector representatives liaise directly with members in their industry sector.
- Member of an Industry lobby group
- BMTL raises industry issues with government authorities, and tourism industry groups. We also lobby and work co-operatively with industry groups through our membership of tourism organisations such as ATEC, SCVB, and the Australian Regional Tourism Network (ARTN).
- Industry Advisory Forums
- BMTL hold a number of industry forums for members to provide input into the annual Business and Marketing Plans, and provide direction on marketing initiatives.
- Networking and referral opportunities
- BMTL stage events and develop communications that allow members to promote themselves to key industry players and meet fellow BMTL members.
- Voting Rights
- One vote per membership. Note: Events are not eligible to vote.
- Co-operative Marketing Opportunities
- BMTL co-ordinates a range of co-operative marketing opportunities for our members which include advertising campaigns, trade show attendance, international product manuals and the annual Blue Mountains Accommodation & Experience Guide and Pocket Guide. Only financial members of BMTL have access to these opportunities.
